When proceeding with new construction, please be aware that the District does require all of the following:
“A site plan to include the size and location of new construction and existing structures on the site, septic systems and well, distances from lot lines, distance from County regulated drains or tiles and it shall be drawn in accordance with an accurate boundary line survey. Building plans to include floor plans, exterior elevations, plumbing”…”sufficient details to show all construction.”
Once all required information is received by the District, the Permit Clerk will perform a site check. If the new construction will not interfere with any portion of the SLRWD/septic system, a letter of non-objection will be issued. Please be aware that it may take 48 to 72 hours (2-3 Business days) to complete the process. For any further questions, please contact the District staff at 260-665-9865.
